International player Zakaria Bakkali, from Driouch province and holding Belgian nationality, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Ittihad Tanger.
Bakkali (29) has played for European clubs such as Anderlecht, Valencia, and PSV.
He started at Standard Liège and made his international debut for Belgium in 2013 against Wales in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite his earlier choice to represent Belgium, he decided to join the Moroccan club.
Bakkali usually spends his summer holidays in Dar El Kebdani and Driouch with his family.
