Second power line commissioned to secure electricity supply for Nador West Med port
The National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water has announced the commissioning of a second extra-high-voltage line (225 kV) to secure the electricity supply for the Nador West Med port.
This move comes one year after the first line was commissioned in May 2025, as part of the comprehensive plan to supply electricity to the port complex and its future industrial zones.
The construction of this facility required the mobilization of significant human and technical resources, with support from local authorities, enabling its commissioning within the scheduled deadlines.
This new infrastructure will strengthen the security of the electricity supply for the complex and support the anticipated growth of port and industrial activities.
The office reaffirmed its commitment to continue developing the Kingdom's strategic electricity infrastructure and to support the economic and industrial dynamism of the Oriental region.
