Nador Port sees 14% drop in fishing landings

Landings of coastal and artisanal fishery products at Nador port fell by 14 percent in the first half of the year, reaching 1,453 tonnes against 1,699 tonnes in the same period last year, according to the National Fisheries Office.
The market value of these products also dropped by 14 percent to 66.15 million dirhams from 76.57 million.
Pelagic fish landings declined by 9 percent to 229 tonnes, while white fish rose by 2 percent to 448 tonnes, but their value fell by 4 percent.
Molluscs saw the biggest drop of 32 percent to 477 tonnes, and crustaceans fell by 1 percent to 298 tonnes.
Nationally, landings reached 367,184 tonnes, down 6 percent, but their value rose by 2 percent to exceed 4.91 billion dirhams.
