Drinking Water Cuts Anger Residents in Nador

Several areas in the Nador province are experiencing repeated drinking water cuts and low water pressure, causing discontent among residents and civil society, especially with high summer temperatures.
This situation deprives the population of their daily water needs for drinking and domestic use.
The discontent extends to Moroccans living abroad returning for summer holidays, including Ahmed Markouch, mayor of the Dutch city of Arnhem, who sent a letter to the company responsible for water distribution in Nador, expressing his indignation at the repeated cuts and lack of communication.
He said he pays his bills regularly but is deprived of water, leading him to consider ending his holiday early.
He called for immediate intervention to restore water supply, provide transparent explanations about the causes, and guarantee that the problem does not recur.
