Nador: 12 sentenced to four months in prison and fines over Beni Ensar incidents
The Nador Court of First Instance has issued verdicts against 12 people over the violence during attempts to breach the Beni Ensar border crossing towards Melilla.
The sentences involve two groups: five people sentenced to four months in prison and a fine of 500 dirhams each, plus a joint sum of 48,000 dirhams.
A second group of seven defendants received the same prison term and fine, with a joint obligation of 84,000 dirhams.
These rulings are part of prosecutions following the unrest, where access attempts escalated into clashes with security forces and vandalism, including the burning of vehicles belonging to local authorities.
Courts continue to handle other cases related to the same incidents.
