Chinese auto parts plant worth $66 million in Nador
With the start of operations at the West Mediterranean port, the province of Nador is experiencing accelerated industrial dynamism.
Chinese company Jiangsu Yunyi Electric has announced the construction of a new auto parts plant in Nador, with an investment of $66 million (over 609 million dirhams).
The board of directors approved the project, considering the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Morocco as a decisive step to expand its global presence.
Founded in September 2001, the company produces electronic components for cars such as rectifiers, semiconductors, and oxygen sensors.
The new port is expected to boost local manufacturing by facilitating imports and exports, reducing transport costs, and connecting industrial units to international markets, especially in automotive, electronics, and processing industries.
It will also provide advanced logistics infrastructure encouraging industrialists to set up in the region, benefiting from proximity to Europe and local human resources, thereby strengthening employment and sustainable development.
