Nador Film Festival launches Noureddine Saïl Short Film Award

The Nador Festival of Cinema and Shared Memory announced, during its 14th edition, that its short film prize will now bear the name of the late critic and film official Noureddine Saïl.
The announcement was made at a tribute session held in Nador.
Director Mohamed Abdelrahman Tazi spoke about Saïl's career, highlighting his role in establishing film clubs, the Khouribga African Film Festival, and his leadership of the second Moroccan channel.
He also mentioned the film "Wachma" that brought them together.
Abdel Salam Boutayeb, president of the Center for Shared Memory, described Saïl as a teacher, philosopher, and dean.
His wife Nadia Larguet testified to his humility and dedication to Moroccan cinema.
Director Ahmed Boulane recalled that Saïl supported him despite their artistic differences.
Farid Regragui praised his role in developing film festivals in Morocco, even in cities without cinemas.
