Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate for Budget, announced that the Nador West Med port will begin operations next August.
He stressed that the port's operation will open new prospects for investment and job creation, especially in industrial, agricultural, and logistics sectors.
He indicated that the project is expected to replicate the economic dynamism of Tanger Med port, thereby enhancing the attractiveness of the Oriental region and turning it into a promising economic hub.
The positive impacts will extend to all provinces of the region, with the development of supporting infrastructure such as highways and railways.
