Al Hoceima governor leads religious ceremony marking Hassan II's death

The Mohammed VI mosque in Al Hoceima hosted a religious ceremony marking the 28th anniversary of the death of King Hassan II, led by provincial governor Fouad El Haji.
Organised by the provincial delegation for Islamic affairs in coordination with the local council of ulema, the event brought together the head of the scientific council, the provincial delegate for Islamic affairs, the secretary-general of the prefecture, local officials, members of the ulema council and representatives of judicial, security and military institutions.
The programme opened with recitations from the Quran, followed by a collective reading of Surah Yasin in memory of the late monarch.
A member of the ulema council, Abdelouahab El Masoudi, delivered a religious lecture on the meaning of the commemoration and the legacy of King Hassan II.
The ceremony closed with prayers for King Mohammed VI, the crown prince and the royal family.
