Launch of Africa's Largest Tire Factory in Driouch

Construction of a massive tire manufacturing plant has officially begun in the Batouia industrial acceleration zone, Amejjaou commune, Driouch province, backed by a Chinese investment of around 6.7 billion dirhams.
Described as the largest project of its kind in Africa, it will span nearly 50 hectares near the Nador West Med port.
Initial capacity is expected to reach six million tires a year, rising gradually to between 12 and 18 million.
The project is set to create between 1,200 and 1,737 direct jobs, plus hundreds of indirect ones.
The complex will include production units, research centres and logistics facilities.
