The new "BDM Fromage" plant was inaugurated on Tuesday in the industrial zone of Selouane, under the supervision of the governor of Nador province, Jamal Chairaani.
The project represents an investment of more than 160 million dirhams and specialises in the manufacture and packaging of cheese and dairy derivatives according to international standards, targeting the national market with export as a future goal.
It is expected to create more than 250 direct jobs, boosting employment and social stability in the area.
The initiative is part of efforts to diversify the economy and encourage productive investment in Nador province and the Oriental region.
