The provincial branch of the Moroccan League for Human Rights in Nador has urged residents to take part consciously and responsibly in the elections set for 23 September.
In a statement, it describes exercising the right to vote as a national duty and a pillar of change and local development.
It calls on citizens to choose candidates based on competence, integrity and realistic programmes, away from pressure and narrow loyalties.
It also urges voters to resist the temptations of money and influence that could undermine the credibility of the vote, and to report any irregularities affecting the integrity of the electoral process.
