MP Younes Achen, representing the Driouch province, met with the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Naima Ben Yahya, to discuss several social issues affecting local residents.
Talks covered the economic empowerment of women in Driouch, child protection, and support for associations caring for people with disabilities.
Achen presented field data, including the province's national ranking as first in the proportion of people with special needs, according to the High Commission for Planning, which calls for urgent and structural interventions.
The minister expressed understanding of the challenges and committed her department to measures addressing residents' expectations, particularly regarding spatial justice and social equity, with pledges expected to translate into concrete initiatives soon.
