The local judicial police brigade in Bni Ansar, part of Nador's regional security directorate, arrested a person suspected of involvement in drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The operation followed precise information about a vehicle being used to distribute cocaine between Farkhana and Bni Ansar, after which the public prosecutor was notified to order legal measures.
The search led to the seizure of 118 doses of cocaine, 27 hallucinogenic tablets, sums of money, a balaclava, a large sword, an electronic scale and a suspicious licence plate, in addition to the vehicle.
The suspect was placed in police custody as part of the judicial investigation, while regional police continue inquiries to arrest possible accomplices.
