Eastern terminal of Nador West Med port ready for first commercial vessels

West Med Container Terminal, the concession holder for the eastern terminal of the Nador West Med port, has announced that the facility is operationally ready after successful trial runs.
The work covered site development, delivery and installation of equipment, implementation of systems and operating procedures, and the recruitment and training of teams, all ahead of the original schedule.
A vessel was received during a trial berthing to verify how operations run and how well procedures are coordinated.
The company says the terminal can handle the world's largest container ships, strengthening the port's position as a strategic platform in the Mediterranean.
