Preventive measures reinforced in Selouane and Zaio prisons

The General Delegation for Prison Administration reinforced preventive measures in the prisons of Selouane, Zaio and Ksar El Kebir after Covid-19 cases emerged.
Measures include disinfecting facilities, distributing masks to staff and inmates, controlling internal movement and stepping up medical monitoring.
Two positive cases were reported in Ksar El Kebir: a driver with no contact with inmates and a newly admitted female inmate, both transferred to hospital along with a contact inmate.
Staff will receive protective clothing and the second shift will be tested before starting work.
