The governor of Nador province, Jamal Chaarani, made a field visit to the Bouarg area to follow the reconstruction of the temporary bridge over Oued Selouane, which was severely damaged by recent floods.
The bridge is a key link on National Road 16 connecting Taouima and Arkman.
Its collapse, caused by rising water levels, cut off traffic for several days and disrupted travel for residents and transport operators.
Work is progressing rapidly under the supervision of the provincial directorate for equipment and water, in coordination with local authorities, and reopening to traffic is expected in the coming days.
