Cargo Ship from Algeria Docks at Nador West Med Port
The eastern terminal of Nador West Med port has received the giant cargo ship CEDAR II, arriving directly from the port of Algiers, in its second berthing.
The move comes despite Algerian directives aimed at restricting transshipment and unloading at Moroccan ports.
Observers say major shipping lines operate on a logic of efficiency and cost reduction, since alternatives in the western Mediterranean basin face congestion, high fees and long waiting times.
The berthing reflects the port's entry into a phase of operational maturity and strengthens its logistics position for the Oriental region and the Rif.
