The Popular Movement has named Mohamed Larbi as its lead candidate in the Al Hoceima constituency for the legislative elections set for 23 September 2026, aiming to win back his seat in the House of Representatives.
Larbi draws on a long political and parliamentary career: he represented the province for several terms, chaired his party's parliamentary group and the committee on justice, legislation and human rights, and served as minister of culture and communication between 2017 and 2019.
His comeback follows a difficult spell: the Constitutional Court annulled the 2021 results in the constituency, and he lost the July 2022 by-election.
He now competes for one of the province's four seats.
