The investigating judge at the Nador Court of Appeal ordered the detention of the man known as "Moussa Falkoun" in the local prison of Selouane, following a lengthy interrogation over serious cases.
He faces charges of premeditated murder, forming an organised criminal gang, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and involvement in clandestine migration networks.
The charges also include the use of forged documents, falsification of medical certificates and concealment of stolen vehicles.
The National Judicial Police Brigade had concluded investigations covering 51 cases before he was referred to the prosecutor.
