Suspect in Oujda woman's murder arrested in Nador

Officers of the judicial police of Oujda, in coordination with the national security of Nador, arrested on Monday morning, September 7, a 58-year-old man suspected of killing a woman in her forties with shots from a hunting rifle.
The victim died on Sunday evening, September 6, near a large market at the western exit of Oujda, struck by two pellets in the chest.
After the perpetrator fled, intensive investigations enabled his identification and arrest in Nador as he was preparing to leave the country.
According to a security statement, the suspect is a Moroccan residing abroad, and two cartridges suspected of being used in the crime were seized from him.
Initial data indicate that a previous romantic relationship linked him to the victim, and that he met her in the El Jorf district of Oujda before the encounter ended in murder.
The suspect was placed in police custody for investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office.
