The Ministry of the Interior announced partial elections on May 5, 2026, to fill vacant seats in communal councils, agricultural chambers, and the provincial council of Nouaceur, according to decision 750.26.
In Nador Province, the communes concerned are: Azgangan (c18), Aroui (c19, women's seat), Selouane (c10), Bni Bouifrour (c4), Iazzene (c11), Bouarg (c4), Bni Sidel Jbel (c13), Bni Sidel Louta (c8), and Oulad Stout (c19, women's seat).
In Al Hoceima: Ajdir (c11), Bni Bounsar (c11), and Taghzout (c11).
In Driouch: Ben Taïeb (c11), Midar (c15 and 5, women's seat), Tleta (c1), Afrani (c7 and 11, women's seat), Tafersit (c6, 8 and 9, women's seat c8), Ijermouas (c1) and Boudinar (c12).
The operation aims to ensure continuity of local governance.
