MP Younes Achn, during an oral questions session in the House of Representatives, said that Driouch Province suffers from clear marginalization in the water sector, as it lacks water independence and remains dependent on Nador and Al Hoceima provinces without receiving its fair share of water resources.
Achn noted that Morocco faces challenges of water scarcity and successive drought years, but stressed that government efforts to ensure water security do not reach all provinces equitably.
He called for addressing this imbalance and granting Driouch Province its right to water resources, stating that the current situation is no longer acceptable.
