Five suicides in the Eastern region during Ramadan

Five suicides have been recorded in the Eastern region since the start of Ramadan, in the provinces of Berkane, Nador, Jerada and Driouch.
The cases occurred between February 26 and March 7, including an elderly woman in Berkane, an African migrant in Nador, a father of four in Ihaddadene, a young man in Jerada and a tailor in Kassita.
Authorities opened judicial investigations under the supervision of public prosecutors, and bodies were transferred to regional hospitals for autopsy.
These events, close in time and space, highlight social and psychological dimensions, pending the results of official investigations.
