Morocco's Geophysics Institute announced the recording of an earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale in Driouch province, according to media reports.
The Moroccan seismic monitoring and alert network located the epicenter off the coast of the province, occurring at 9:35:22 local time.
The quake was recorded at a depth of 22 km, at the intersection of latitude 35.557°N and longitude 3.661°W.
This seismic activity follows a previous earthquake last month of magnitude 4.4 in the same region, whose epicenter was also located off the coast of Driouch, at a depth of 23 km, at latitude 35.556°N and longitude 3.610°W.
No material or human damage was reported.
