Eleven lists have officially filed their candidacy for the upcoming legislative elections in the local constituency of Nador, as of Thursday, September 3, 2026, to compete for the four seats allocated to the province.
The number increased after Amrou El Azouzi filed his candidacy as head of the list of the Democratic and Social Movement Party, after the number had stabilized at ten lists on Wednesday.
The list of heads of lists includes representatives of several parties, including Authenticity and Modernity, National Rally of Independents, Popular Movement, Unified Socialist, Istiqlal, Socialist Union, Progress and Socialism, Justice and Development, Moroccan Union for Democracy, Freedom and Social Justice, and Democratic and Social Movement.
These candidacies indicate strong multi-party competition in the constituency, pending the end of the filing period before the electoral campaign.
Regarding the regional women's list of the Oriental region, Sanaa Rahmouni filed her candidacy on behalf of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, candidacies independent of local lists.
