Scientific symposium in Nador on Amazigh after constitutionalization
The Center for Cooperative Studies for Local Development (Secodil) organized a scientific symposium in Nador on Friday, January 16, 2026, under the theme "Amazigh after constitutionalization: achievements and expectations," celebrating the Amazigh New Year 2976 and implementing royal directives calling for the preservation of Amazigh cultural heritage.
The symposium brought together university professors, researchers, journalists, and civil actors.

Yemani Qassouh addressed the dimensions of teaching the Amazigh language and the university's role in training cadres, while Dr.
Azouagh Abdellah presented an analysis of the constitutionalization outcomes and structural constraints.
Journalist Mohamed Boumkoussi discussed the role of public media, and researcher El Yazid Driouch highlighted the historical roots of Amazigh in the Rif.
The debate was moderated by Professor Radouane Ben Chikar, and the symposium concluded with an open discussion on the importance of strengthening collective awareness to preserve this essential component of Moroccan identity.
