Abdessalam Frendo, appointed governor of Driouch province by King Mohammed VI, was born on January 31, 1971 in Sidi Kacem.
He holds higher studies diplomas in political science (1996) and administrative science (1997), and is a graduate of the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration (1998-2001).
After graduating in 2001, he was appointed district chief in the central administration of the Interior Ministry, before moving to Al Hoceima province in 2005 and then Sidi Bennour in 2011.
On June 22, 2018, he was promoted to secretary-general of Béni Mellal province, before being transferred to the same post at the Fez prefecture on August 15, 2022.
He was appointed governor of Driouch effective October 18, 2024.
