Security investigations have led to the arrest of a second group linked to the drug baron known as 'Moussa', bringing the total number of detainees to 34 after 23 arrests in a first phase.
The eleven members of the latest group were transferred to the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations in Salé.
The developments follow a wedding hosted by 'Moussa' that featured gunfire, prompting a large-scale mobilisation of central and regional security services and the deployment of a national judicial police team to Nador.
Firearms were seized.
The regional commander of the Royal Gendarmerie in the province was relieved of his duties.
Investigations into the network's national and international ramifications are ongoing.
