The provincial branch of the Justice and Development Party in Driouch held its first seminar under the slogan “Political training as the basis of democratic construction”, attended by the party's regional secretary for the Oriental, Ismail Zougagh, and its elected officials in the province.
Provincial secretary Mohamed El Harrach outlined the political and organisational context of the meeting, calling for stronger communication channels with citizens and action on the province's development problems.
The regional secretary praised the initiative and its programme, saying such meetings aim to strengthen the party's organisational capacity.
MP Farouk Tahiri reaffirmed his readiness to meet citizens monthly to hear and advocate for the province's problems.
Attendees raised issues including external government services, the provincial hospital, road infrastructure, flooding and the Azimane dam, before the MP made a field visit to the provincial hospital.
