The future of Hassani Hospital in Nador remains unclear after part of its services were transferred to the new regional hospital in Selouane.
MP Farida Kheniti of the Progress and Socialism group submitted a written question to the Minister of Health and Social Protection on the matter.
Local residents fear a possible closure of the facility, which serves thousands of patients.
Reports suggest the transfer could affect continuity of treatment and add burdens for access to care.
Meanwhile, residents welcome the new hospital in Selouane, provided that sufficient staff and medical equipment are guaranteed.
